Pilates is a type of exercise created by Joseph Pilates, a master fitness leader who worked closely with famous modern dancers including Martha Graham in the 20th century. The Pilates method is highly effective for helping dancers improve flexibility, build core strength and prevent injuries. Celticore is the first and only Pilates program designed strategically for Irish dancers.

Our instructors lead students through a strategic combination of classical Pilates, the Fuse Method, ballet and Irish dance technique training - resulting in a workout experience unparalled in the Irish dance cross-training industry. Celticore sessions are led by Joe Duffey, a Fuse-certified Pilates instructor and Lord of the Dance cast member. Our instructor team also includes Megan Drake, a professional Irish dancer & certified Pilates instructor, Maureen Berry, TCRG & certified Yoga teacher and Moira Ragen, professional Irish dancer and classically-trained ballet/modern dance teacher. How does the Celticore Online Studio work? . . .

Training is offered through Celticore Online Studio. It's simple: just sign up to start your FREE trial to our program. Once you finish your trial, the program costs just $19.95/month, which is less than you would normally pay for an in-studio class. We also offer a yearly membership with a savings of 27% off monthly! Members have unlimited access to our gallery of Celticore workouts in addition to exclusive access to new workout content released on the Monday of each week.

Is Celticore appropriate for dancers working through an injury? . . .

Celticore is fundamentally a low-impact activity, thereby minimizing external injury risk and in certain instances may be appropriate for dancers in rehabilitation from an injury. However, if you have an injury you should always consult your doctor prior to starting exercise again to determine what amount of physical activity that is appropriate for you. Celticore strongly advises every student to discontinue exercise immediately should s/he feel any pain or discomfort.

Do CLRG Association Rules apply to Celticore? . . .

Celticore is strictly a fitness / cross-training tool designed especially for Irish dancers. No step instruction or competitive Irish dance material is taught during online workout classes. However, should you have any questions or concerns we always recommend that you refer to your TCRG. Please also feel free to contact us.

Is there any way I can preview Celticore before joining? What if I want to cancel my monthly membership? . . .

Yes! Several preview workouts are available on facebook as well as a FREE trial at our Online Studio. Our goal is to make you LOVE Pilates by making it fun, affordable & Irish dance-specific, however if it’s just not right for you, you can cancel or pause your monthly membership anytime, no commitment whatsoever.
